Azita Ghanizada

Azita A. Ghanizada (born in Afghanistan) is an Afghan American Actress in the United States. She has appeared in many television programs. She is an Afghan American actress that was raised in Kabul Afghanistan. After fleeing the country she was born in, her family moved into America. US. She was granted asylum, and were allowed to remain. She is a middle-sister of two sisters, and was raised in Northern Virginia. Ghanizada's career in the air started with several National Commercials. Ghanizada starred as Chiara in Laura Neri production A Kiss on the Nose (2003). For her performance, she was nominated in the festival's Cannes Film Festival, for Best Actress. Television guest-starring roles include How I Met Your Mother Entourage Veronica Mars The Wedding Bells NUMB3RS Bones Psych and Castle. Recently, she had the role of a support actress in the action science fiction movie Blood Shot (2009) and the comedies that are independent You Only Better (2009). Ghanizada first appeared in General Hospital Prime-Time spinoff General Hospital. For season two of Nightshift she played holistic specialist the Dr. Saira Bastra.
